✨ Keep Your Workspace Neat and Tidy

The more you chat with the AI, the longer the "CONVERSATIONS" list in the left sidebar will become. To easily find and review past discussions, we need to learn how to manage these conversations.

Key Management Skills Include:

• Editing settings for individual chats (like renaming or changing the model).
• Pinning important conversations.
• Searching for specific chats.
• Cleaning up chats you no longer need.

🛠️ Editing a Chat's "Properties" (Right Sidebar):

Sometimes, midway through a conversation, you might want to adjust its settings – perhaps switch to a more powerful AI model for a complex part, or modify the system prompt to guide the subsequent discussion.

1. Select the Target Chat:

   • First, in the Left Sidebar's "CONVERSATIONS" list, click the title of the chat you want to edit, ensuring it's loaded in the middle area.

2. Look at the Right Sidebar:

   • Shift your focus to the Right Sidebar (Chat Parameters). This area displays the settings for the currently selected chat.

3. Start Modifying:

   • Rename ✏️ (Chat Name): Click in the input box next to the chat name and type a new, clearer name for easy future identification. E.g., change "Untitled Conversation" to "Marketing Plan Brainstorm".
   • Change the "Brain" 🔄🧠 (Model): Click the "Model" dropdown menu to switch to a different AI model for this specific chat. For instance, if the current model isn't smart enough, you could temporarily switch to GPT-4o.
   • Adjust the "Script" 📝 (System Prompt): In the "System Prompt" text box, you can modify the instructions given to the AI. This will influence the AI's behavior in the subsequent parts of the conversation.
   • Other Parameters: You can also adjust settings like Max History Messages, Temperature, etc.

4. Don't Forget to Save! 💾

   • After making any changes in the right sidebar, always remember to click the "Save" button at the bottom! Otherwise, your modifications might not take effect.

🧹 Managing Your Conversation List (Left Sidebar):

The left sidebar isn't just a list; it's also your control center for managing chats.

1. Pin Important Chats 📌 (Pinning):

   • For chats you access frequently or consider very important, you can "pin" them to the top of the list.
   • How: Hover your mouse over the chat item you want to pin. Often, a pin icon (📌) will appear. Click it! Alternatively, try right-clicking the chat item and look for a "Pin" option in the menu.
   • Once pinned, the chat will stay at the top of the "CONVERSATIONS" list, even when new chats are created.
   • Unpinning: Simply click the pin icon again.

2. Quickly Find Chats 🔍 (Searching):

   • When the list gets long, scrolling is slow.
   • Below the "CONVERSATIONS" label, there's usually a search box (perhaps with placeholder text like "Search conversations...").
   • Click it and type keywords from the title or content of the chat you're looking for. The list will automatically filter to show matching conversations.

3. Clean Up Chats 🗑️ (Archiving/Deleting):

   • Too many chats can look cluttered.
   • Bulk Archive (Use Caution!): Near the top of the left sidebar, next to the "+ New Chat" button, there might be an archive icon 📦. Warning: This button often deletes all unpinned conversations! Make sure you no longer need them before clicking.
   • Delete Individual Chats: To delete a specific chat:
     • Hover over the chat item and look for a delete (Trash/Delete) icon.
     • Or, right-click the chat item and check the context menu for a "Delete" option.

4. Automatic Grouping:

   • Daan usually groups your conversations automatically by date (Today, Yesterday, Previous 7 Days, etc.), making it easier to browse chronologically.

💡 Management Tips:

• Make it a habit to rename and pin important chats regularly.
• Clean up temporary or unneeded chats promptly.
• Use the search function effectively to quickly locate information.
